Sherine worked in the banking sector for 10 years, after which she decided to pursue her passion for translation. In 1995, she was mentored by NJ Dawood, an eminent and well respected translator and writer. Under his auspices she was involved in major translation projects for high profile names in a variety of industry sectors. Her extensive work in translation and subtitling helped her gain solid experience in the localization industry. In 1999 she co-founded Masreya Media in Cairo and has played a key role in expanding the company in terms of services, client portfolio and turnover. Based in the UK, she followed stringent work ethic and quality control standards and conveyed these essential principles to the team at Masreya Media. Sherine was also responsible for introducing quality subtitling for TV in the Middle East and she is always looking for ways to improve and advance our services in line with our clients’ needs. LinkedIn



AyshaAysha Selim, Director of Dubbing

Aysha has over 25 years of experience working in a variety of fields including theatre, creative writing, public relations, advertising, tourism, tutoring Arabic and dubbing.
She joined the Walt Disney Company in 1998 as DCVI’s Creative and Operations Manager Middle East for Arabic Dubbing, operationally and creatively responsible for all Disney Arabic Dubbing. In 2007 she joined Masreya Media and set up the Dubbing Department.
Her repertoire includes directing three theater productions: Harold Pinter’s The Lover/The Room in English and Abdel Moneim Selim’s A Marriage for All Seasons in Arabic, both of which were received with much acclaim by public and press. She is a published short story writer and won a Madalyn Lamont Award in 2007.
In addition to running the Dubbing Department at Masreya Media, she currently teaches Arabic part- time on the AUC’s Diplomats Program. Her language skills include Arabic, German, English and French.


femonyFemony Okasha, Co-founder

A multi-lingual graduate in Tourism and Hotel Management (Dutch, English and Arabic), Femony worked as a tour leader/ guide for 10 years. In 1998, the idea of setting up a company to provide media localization services appealed to her business acumen, and Masreya Media was finally established in 2000. For 11 years she helped guide Masreya Media, making it one of the strongest players in its field in the Middle East.






AdelAdel Lasheen, General Manager

Adel has many years of experience in the hotel business with his last post Executive Assistant Manager of the historic Mena House Oberoi in Cairo. He changed career to teach Arabic as a Foreign Language at The British Council in Cairo and then went on to McGill University in Canada where he took an MA in Social Work. He joined Masreya Media as General Manager in 2009 and has been a great asset to the company ever since.
